Mauro Mazzocchi

· Service in the Army at the Interforce Training School for NBC Defence.

· Graduated in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences at Roma University "La Sapienza".

· Experiences in geochemistry, applicative methods and analyses for mineralogy, updated to materials sciences and ceramic technology.

· Specialistic post-graduate course on chemistry and technology for inorganic materials (Bologna University); schools; seminars and courses concerning biomaterials: chemistry and physics on materials for clinical applications, methodologies, technologies, etc.

· Stage at the Center for Surface Biotechnology, Uppsala Univ. and Dept. for Chemical Engineering, Eskilstuna (Mälardalen University), Sweden.

· Winner of several competitions for research fellowships and research contracts at National Council of Research CNR-IRTEC and National Institute for Physics of Matter.

· Participating in consulences and projects in the field concerning biomaterials, his main interests are focused on: ceramics for clinical applications, synthesis and characterizations of materials; bioactive glasses; glass ionomer cements; bioactive coatings.

· Member of the Scientific Organizing Committee in the "Ceramics, Cells and Tissues" annual Meeting-Seminar series; member of the Italian Society for Biomaterials

· Production Manager for Tech-Medical s.r.l.

· About 30 publications and communications both for national, international scientific magazines and congresses.

· Present position at National Council of Research-Institute for Science and Technology for Ceramic Materials, ISTEC-CNR: contract researcher.
